Thompkins serves in the employ of the Greater Philadelphia Federation of Settlements where he has worked for the past eight (8) years advancing to his current position of Director, Youth and Young Adult Services where he oversees after school programs that serve over 250 youth daily. Along with his supervisory responsibilities he manages a multi-million dollar revenue stream and critical external relationships with key funding agencies within the City of Philadelphia.  Thompkins has an extensive background in Program Implementation and Management of youth development programs. He is  a National BEST Certified Facilitator in Advancing Youth Development; National BEST Certified Youth Development Journey Worker; and the first in the State of PA to be Certified as Youth Development Practitioner. Thompkins matriculated at Temple University graduating with a BA in Psychology.
