Jeffrey Levy, MD: Co-Founder, President and CEO
Dr. Levy is a physician, educator, entrepreneur, inventor and a nationally recognized expert in e-Learning. He has a strong interest and passion for Positive Psychology and was the Co-Founder, President, CEO of Reflective Learning, an e-Learning company that empowers people to take control of life-long challenges by building skills that foster breakthrough thinking. Prior to Reflective Learning, Dr. Levy was Co-founder and Chief Educational Officer of MedCases, Inc., a company using information technology to enhance medical education. Over the last 20 years, he has also developed educational CD-ROMs, Internet-based physician and patient educational tools, 3-D animation tools and one of the world’s first Virtual Reality Simulators in medicine.
Before founding MedCases, Dr. Levy was the Medical Director of Education and Technology Initiatives for the University of Pennsylvania Health System where his responsibilities included development of computerized patient education systems, as well as the development of other medical education and information systems. Prior to his position with the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Levy founded and was the Medical Director of Innovations in Medical Education and Training (IMET), a company that develops and implements innovative approaches to advancement of medical knowledge and educational needs of healthcare providers through live meetings. Before IMET, he was the national Director of Medical Education and Software Development for Omnia, Inc., Research and Education Division. Previous academic roles have included Associate Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of Resident Education and Medical Student Education at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
After receiving his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School, Dr. Levy completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He maintained a private practice in OB/GYN for thirteen years. In addition, to his other professional accomplishments, Dr. Levy has presented over 100 national and international lectures, has authored numerous abstracts and scientific papers and has developed several patents and inventions.
