Services to Children in their Own Home (SCOH) is a proven child welfare alternative to the placement of children in foster care. SCOH provides a specific constellation of services delivered primarily in the family’s home to maintain the safety of the child, enhance or rehabilitate parent(s), child, and family functioning. The six service components of SCOH are family assessment, counseling/intervention/direct social work services, structured interventions to promote life skills development, advocacy, case management services and Family Group Decision Making.
