Our Mission
The Greater Philadelphia Federation of Settlements is committed to being a major force in the development of healthy, safe, thriving neighborhoods and communities through creative, results-driven practices. As an umbrella organization, we achieve these results by creating high quality capacity building opportunities for our network of community-building organizations. As a leader and innovator, we develop pioneering models which can be used both locally and nationally to achieve results. GPFS strengthens and empowers families and neighborhoods through:
- Providing high standards of care for our affiliates through professional, financial, and program development
- Serving as a focal point for problem solving, training, collegial support, and collaboration
- Determining and disseminating best practices in the area of neighborhood development and community building
- Serving as an incubator for creative new approaches
