About Us

Last updated May, 12, 2008

Caring People Alliance, an affiliate of the Boy & Girls Clubs of America, is one of the Philadelphia region's most comprehensive human service agencies. Our primary focus is on children and youth and the matters that most affect them. As such, we also nurture their support system - both families and older adults. We offer a wide range of programs and services through our three community centers - Fels South Philadelphia Community Center, R.W. Brown Community Center and West Philadelphia Community Center - and several additional service locations.

Caring People Alliance is truly an anchor in the community. We serve an estimated 11,000 individuals and another 500 families each year through our three community centers, and an additional 25,000 members of the community through Child Care Information Services. Founded in 1932 as Crime Prevention Association, we changed our name in 2001 to Caring People Alliance, to more accurately reflect the current scope of programs and services.
